I’m Gordon Farquhar.

I have spent the last quarter of a century managing complex IT infrastructures and network monitoring environments for multinational corporations, large public sector bodies, and higher education institutions. In those sectors, preventing downtime isn't a preference—it's a critical financial mandate.

Throughout my career, I noticed a frustrating gap: while corporate giants have entire teams dedicated to watching their networks, Perthshire’s small businesses (local law firms, boutique hotels, and manufacturing sites etc) are often left in the dark. They cannot justify the cost of an in-house IT manager, nor the bloated monthly retainers of Managed Service Providers (MSPs).

I founded Tay Network Insights to change that.

My business is proudly Cyber Essentials certified, meaning my technical operations and practices meet the standards required by the UK’s National Cyber Security Centre.
